What I dislike about Stargate Universe SGU is the way they start the show, at the time in Stargate universe they already had in possession Asgard's legacy and Atlantis database and yet they run unprepared with limited resources and primitive survival kit or means to build up in case of failure.

If the first 15 episodes of TNG is all Spiner saw, no wonder he didn't want to watch any more of it. How could he NOT look down on fans if he thinks the first season is their high water mark?

I only started drinking Earl Grey because of Picard in Star Trek TNG. I'd never really heard of it before then. I love it. I also love a good English Breakfast Tea. I believe Patrick Steward does drink Yorkshire Gold mainly and also he said he sometimes mixes it with Earl Grey. 1 bag of each. I think I am going to try that kind as well since it is on his recommendation. He swears by the Yorkshire Gold.

Tng holds a very special place in my heart. I will always love it. Both shows have their 'deep' episodes with good writing, but Avery brooks doesn't get enough credit as one of the great captains. Also Ds9 has many episodes that outclass tng's best. imo ofc.

Avery Brooks put in an absolutely ridiculously outstanding performance as Benjamin Sisko. I don't know if he won any acting awards but he damn well should have done

I agree far beyond the stars is one of the best episodes of anything that’s ever been created. Avery as Sisko legendary stuff.

That's funny that he says that cause it's one of the few episodes the wife & I will skip over when we watch the series, that's how bad it is.

Todd was never given a proper series finale. Just a lot of "If" type endings for everyone to argue about or have civil discussions over. There is no doubt to me Sheppard murdered Todd at the end. A really great ending would have shown Sheppard coming out with Todd to show him Earth with the rest of the cast on the balcony. While all the crew of Atlantis crowding balconies of Atlantis. it was a very lame ending. Seriously done on the cheap. Sheppard had become far to used to killing, murdering Todd after he got them back to Earth would have been something he would do without blinking an eye. Todd was a terrific character and like all the other aliens who have become great additions to Stargate Command, and not necessarily on an SG Team, but he would have had his uses and abilities put to good use and maybe after a year or to on Earth with excursions to see all of Earth from, say a Jumper, and ever mingled with humans at cosplay conventions and even taken out on Halloween for a real treat, if you will excuse the pun. Heck he could have even had an episode with him as the main character. The writers wasted a great opportunity had the shown gone on to a different STARGATE series of which there are a multitude of ideas, with Todd. By the way I NEVER liked Sheppard's character as he came across as a male Mary Sue, NOR McKays. and there was NEVER any real chemistry between him and Jewel's Dr. Keller nor with Ronon.

I think it might be weird to watch yourself. You just see the story from a different perspective; I like to write, and when you get to the final draft, it's hard to read once you can't change anything because you see all the subjective imperfections and style choices that, on that day, you might question. Still, it's a lot of fun, Brent--sit and watch.

To me this was the best Star Trek episode ever

Avery Brooks = greatest captain of all time. He mentions "Far Beyond The Stars" frequently, but he never mentions skin color or race. He always mentions the beauty of seeing the cast play characters that "look like us" (the actual cast as they normally look in real life, without alien make-up/prosthetics)... ...while people like Ira Steven Behr (who was the one who came up with the concept of an episode about racism for Black History Month of that year; the fact that February used to be a Sweeps month that determined viewership, which determined advertising prices for network & syndicated shows was merely a pure coincidence 🙄🤣) always push the "1st Black Captain (which isn't accurate cuz Paul Winfield as Capt Terrell in ST:II + Madge Sinclair as Capt of the Saratoga in ST:IV were the 1st black captains in Star Trek) SJW narrative cuz they know it's a way to get free advertising/coverage from left-wing media journalists.
